Special announcement: come to our ‘hustings’ event!

4 May

Changing the Board, together with the ZYC (the Jewish youth movements and UJS), are delighted to invite you to a special event: hustings (a debate with the candidates) for the Board of Deputies honorary officers. This will take place on Thursday, May 17, at 7.45pm in a Camden Town venue.

In a few weeks’ time, Deputies across the UK will vote to choose who should represent them, and by extension, the whole British Jewish community. We are offering anyone, whether you have previously been involved in the Board or not, the chance to come and meet the candidates and ask them questions which concern you.

You can read more about the structure of the Board of Deputies here.

How to attend

We have 90 tickets available, for free, and anticipate a sell-out. To attend, you must fill in the short form here.

Can’t make the date? Looking after the kids? Live too far away? Got exams? Washing your hair? We value everybody’s involvement and want to make sure you have the opportunity to do so. Watch the whole event as it happens via our live feedhttp://www.ustream.tv/channel/changingtheboard

You can also ask a question in advance by emailing changingtheboard@gmail.com and join the debate by following us on Twitter, tweeting to @changetheboard and using the hashtag #changetheBoD.

The small print

There are only 90 spaces available, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. We will use a ballot if necessary. You will only have your place confirmed once you have received an email from us. We will email details of the venue nearer the time.

All guests must register beforehand, by filling in the short form here.

Please arrive at 7.45pm for a prompt 8pm start. Latecomers may not be admitted.

All guests must bring ID with them. We reserve the right to refuse entry.
